This past weekend was the best I have felt in a long time. I reckon the weight training session with Bernie did the trick on Friday lol. I was so longing to feel human again and I wasn’t going to miss out on anything. That same evening Denis, Jeremy and I were invited to the Bernie and Tony’s in Bolney for nibbles and bubbles on the terrace. The weather was glorious. It was probably the hottest day of the year so far and it really felt good. I just wish I looked like the old me! Oh well soon my friends say, not long to go now but hurry up will ya! lol

Our fab hosts for the evening!

Later Friday evening Nathan and Bentley arrived and I was so happy to see them both, as I always am. Always excited to pick them up from the Station and get them home. It makes all the difference when you really appreciate the ones you love. Not only at a time like this but everyday. They bring great value to my life. Roll on 2019 and the wedding of the year, our wedding! We seem to drift into wedding planning every once in while. It’s good to plan the future.

A great way to be woken up in the morning ❀

Saturday we are woken by Bentley which is always good fun. We call him upstairs and he comes and greats us with such enthusiasm, you can’t help but smile and feel the love. He has one thing on his mind though, it’s all about food! haha! And walkies of course. We took him to Cowdry Woods he loves it there, it’s so peaceful and quiet and he ends up carrying a few sticks around the entire time. He comes back knackered to say the least.

Once home Chef Pithers was back in the kitchen again prepping for the BBQ. He made home made Pavlova with passion fruit and mango, Yum! For starters the Chef made deconstructed Prawn and Crayfish cocktail and I was in charge of the Argentinian Steak, babeback potatoes and roasted veggies, all accompanied by some awesome Argentinian Malbec! (as you do!) A great time was had by all, and it was especially lovely to have Cynthia with us. She is not a great meat eater but managed a small steak, cooked well done! I can also announce Bentley was pleased there was leftover steak πŸ˜‰ I think Denis is in love with Bentley…

Bentley was also excited by the BBQ as you can imagine πŸ˜‰

Sunday was a nice chill day and weather OKish. We decided to be very lazy and the only thing we did was take the Boo for a walk at Cowdray. Lovely Bella and Dave dropped by for visit and Dave needed a haircut, alfresco on a day like this. Nathan’s first client down south and as always he is magic! The rest of the day was spent on the sofa with my boys watching movies! Quality ‘us’ time. We watched Hangver 1, 2 and 3! Hilarious and just the right kind of movie and what not to do for a STAG party (Bachelor Party for my American and Canadian friends).

Deejay Jazzy Dave having a tidy up!

Monday was a bit of a wash out and our walk with Bentley was somewhat muddy and slippery! Typical Bank Holiday weather or as they say the curse of the Bank Holiday. We always get shit weather it seems. The best days are always when everyone is in work lol! We decided to paint some deck chairs for Nathan’s patio and that was an afternoon project. We work well together it seems. I was told good work by Mr Pithers! haha!

Well Tuesday arrived quickly and it was time to head back to Harley Street to the LOC for No 5. Nathan got off of the train at Gatwick as he needed to get back home and get sorted for the week of work ahead and he has friends staying for the weekend while he comes back south on Friday. So I am big boy and will go it alone this time, I am well versed in the drill at this point. Afternoon session today which is different. Barry is my nurse, lovely Irish chap, borderline campness which is charming. He is very efficient and promises me I will be out of there at 445pm! Ok game on, get that poison into me quickly, it’s not that quick but he had set the target. Not that I am clock watching or anything lol.

Dr Marcus came to visit me once again and he was in a great and positive mood, which is always a sign of good news. He tells me he has sent the sample off for further testing as promised and is still awaiting the results. Regardless of this he is leaning towards radiotherapy as a follow up to the CHOP chemo. He is checking this out with his colleagues in Radiotherapy. Fingers, toes crossed and the rest, I don’t mind having to go in every day for 3 weeks verses being in hospital for 3 weeks having a stem cell transplant and more intense chemotherapy. And that comes with a some risk I can do without!

Ready for No 5!

Cynthia dropped in to see me, some goodies in tow which is always good πŸ˜‰ She had discovered Costco, so you can imagine. I kept pressing the call button each time the IV drip machine started to beep to get Barry back to move on the the next drug. A drug, a flush and another drug. I will say he is very efficient. At precisely 445pm we were done. I was just waiting for someone from the pharmacy to come and deliver my steroids (hate those!) anti sickness and my lovely injections (hate those too lol) for later this week. Time to head home and see Bentley. He is with me all week and I could not be happier to have the company.

Gym time and walk time as I get through this week of feeling meh! Kirsty from the LMC posted an article on their FB page that was written about the benefit of exercise during cancer therapy. It really does seem to help. Don’t worry there is still work, I was on it like a car bonnet at 7 am this morning. Thanks Sue for helping out short notice, really appreciate it. Work is keeping me sane. Back to the office next week, really do miss the people there. Our crew off on the Culinary Adventures tour for the Four Seasons, looking forward to the feedback on that one!

Thanks as always for all the support and love on here, instagram, texts, emails, and WhatApps. I am truly lucy to have all of you along for the biggest fight of my life. I could not do it without you.
